A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

If I was the sort of person who kept up and actually sent Christmas cards, maybe you'd have gotten this in your mailbox this Christmas. The funny thing about pictures like this is that they never tell the whole story. They don't tell how complicated it is to find somewhat matching clothes for the whole family to wear for a picture (or in this case, a wedding) or how you had to bribe and distract a certain two-year old to convince him to put that suit on (he was not having it), or how you bought tights for the baby to wear just for this occasion only you left them home, right next to the door. You don't even see the moment before or after...

You don't hear "Katelin, come over... sit right here," or "Um, push this button...and make sure the flash is on."

You don't see the twelve-year old boy making faces at Lina or the classic, "Say cheese."

You just get one little moment. It says a lot, but not everything.

You crack me up. Isn't that the truth?! It is a great picture though!

I like the story behind the photo almost as much as the picture itself!
