Searching for Balance

This morning while I attempted tree pose with Seth pulling on one leg, and Katelin hammering me with questions about her Lucky Charm marshmellows, I wondered if Rodney Yee had this in mind when he designed this little workout video. Probably not, but thinking about what I must look attempting yoga with both kids crawling all over me did make me laugh out loud.

This I do know - finding your "center" both in yoga and figuratively of course, is much, much, much more challenging when you add kids to the mix. Still, I think it's worth trying.

Something must be wrong with my eyes. It looks like you posted at 5:55am that you had ALREADY done yoga AND that both of your kids were up. What in the world?

I never have tried it for that reason. I can't see how I can find a happy place...better yet, a calm place with my babes tugging on me. I'll have to try it.

I can so relate. Bless you for trying, though.

Most impressive. I didn't realize that finding the best you meant that you would be doing yoga while the kids were awake. Props to you for not letting them upset you, and laughing instead.

Okay, the time stamp was wrong... and I hadn't anticipated doing yoga with the kids, but sometimes they don't sleep when you had hoped them to.
