My Pesky To Do List

Seth Practicing His Cowboy Skills (for Halloween of course)

I have a confession to make. Last night, after blogging about skipping my to do list, I cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen and started the laundry. I can't get away from that thing. You see, if I hadn't cleaned and started laundry, then I would have had to deal with it this morning. And this morning I had to visit the doctor's office and the library. So, while I wish I could just abandon the "to do's" and live without them, I will admit, I'm kind of tied to them. It's hard for me to not do the to-do list.

I think maybe the solution is to take a day without to-do's once in a while. Like actually schedule a day to do absolute nothing. So this is my to-do list for the weekend (in no particular order):

1. Carve pumpkins & have a good time with kids
2. Trick or Treat (I mean, let me kids trick or treat)
3. Finish the laundry
4. Schedule a day to do nothing next week

I'd really love to know: How do you get away from the "to do's"?

I was just thinking about how my life revolves around my to do list. Now I realize I'm in a completely different spot in life but some day I leave the list and spend the whole day reading. LOL, I really don't have much to complain about.
